11 questions for Tudor Walls

So I am starting to look through these files, and I am finding it a little overwhelming knowing which tiles to print and how many, do you have any plans of perhaps publishing some sample layouts with a BOM? (bill of materials) to give a starting point on what might be a good set of tiles to print.

The files are looking great by the way, you guys do an awesome job, My FDM printers have been humming since you guys dropped this batch of files.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Yes. If you check out the link in the description it’s got some sample assembly diagrams with quantity listed that’s required to print that whole building. This will give you a good guide to constructing other buildings.

I’ve also attached the link here:

    Hi Sam!

Would we be able to get a G Tudor Window Wall variant? 🙂

    Thannks!

    • Nicholas Jebson

Yes, we can do a variant that does not have the corbels if that is what your requesting in a variant?

  3. jonathanquek (verified owner)

Yes that is exactly so and will be great to have Nicholas 🙂

  4. adam.pitzer (verified owner)

For the doors, what is best to use to attach the door to the frame? Some sort of brass rod?

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

Hey Adam, We use either an unfolded paperclip or just a extra piece of filament threaded through the hole

  5. john.c.barker (verified owner)

The Q and D walls are missing the upper recesses.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

      We’ll get this updated soon.

  6. icristian.hrimiuc (verified owner)

There is a issue with the 3d models of “L-Column-Tudor-Corbel-2-w-LockingPin-v1.0.stl” and “L-Column-Tudor-Corbel-w-LockingPin-v1.0” that causes a vertical hole in the final 3d print. You can notice this by slicing and then previewing the gcode in Prusa Slicer or Cura. This is not a problem with “L-Column-TudorCorbel-2-v0.3” or “L-Column-TudorCorbel-v1.1” so modifying the model and using the lower half from them will fix it for me but it would be nice if you could get this updated in the future.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

      Thanks, we’ll get this updated.

  7. Doc Webb (verified owner)

Are there PC/PB angled versions of these walls (and the Schist walls) available? If not, any plans to add them? Thanks!

    • Matt Barker

Have you checked out the ones in the Manor Inn Expansion there are not 45 degrees. We will definitely look at adding them as some stage

  8. Darran Smith

Are the circular walls compatible with other circular walls? Thinking of having the mixed with the castle tower circular walls. Thanks 😀

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Yes. All OpenLOCK walls are compatible.

  9. matthiasplum (verified owner)

Could we maybe get also get a Tudor secret door?

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

I will add this to the list of model suggestions.

  10. elunde01 (verified owner)

Am I missing something about the G-Wall top locking variants? Compared to G-Walls in other sets, the large “slots” underneath the G-Walls are much smaller and the top-lock pegs from others and even this set don’t fit into them.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Thanks For pointing this out. Will get a modeler to fix this.

  11. M0nkeyL1ce (verified owner)

It would be helpful to add a “T-Column” to this set to allow for simplier interior rooms.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

      Hi
The reason for not having a T column is due to not being able to use 3 OpenLOCK clips at the same time.
You could create a column with clips in it over at Terrain Tinker or print your walls joined to the column.
