8 questions for Undead Fluyt

  1. mrsethhanson (verified owner)

After looking at the additional information I’m unclear if I should attempt to print without supports? In reviewing the model it would appear I would need them, is that correct?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

You can attempt to print the lower hull without supports if you’re confident with your printer otherwise we recommend printing with supports.

  2. richard.lierman (verified owner)

This is the only ship in the lost ships collection without a playable interior. Is that coming?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Yes it’s on the future improvements list for this model.

  3. rwillard1991 (verified owner)

What color was used for this boat? I really like the aged bone look, mine is a little too white and clean.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Sure this is what we sued for painting hte bon on this ship:

Heavy dry-brush: Army Painter Leather Brown.
Lighter dry-brush: Army Painter Barbarian Flesh.
Wash: Army Painter Sepia Shade (Let that dry and settle).
Final highlight: Army Painter Skeleton Bone.

  4. hottbillsweidan (verified owner)

Can you give a quick rundown of how to do the undead sails? They are really quite awesome.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

The undead sails are made of torn tissue paper soaked in pva & water mix and left to dry then washed with watered down brown sepia wash.

  5. Cannonfodderken (verified owner)

Can we get an update on printing with supports? Using Cura and I cant see the Stern being printed without supports everywhere

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

If you’re using Cura select “make overhang printable”.

    • Nicholas Jebson

Hey Cannonfodderken. Generally it should not need supports, it has been stress tested so that there are no “overhangs”. Everything builds out from the model first so as to not need them.

  6. seanwmcinnes (verified owner)

Hi there! In printing this model, how to I assemble it? Are the masts just dowel? How do I know how long they need to be? How wide? Is there an assembly guide I’m missing?

    • Jo Boorer

Scroll down the product page till you see the title ‘Undead Fluyt Rigging’.

  7. Valerie DAGRAIN

    Hello,
As said by richard.lierman : This is the only ship in the lost ships collection without a playable interior. Is it possible to know if they are an update since 2019?

    • Jo Boorer

Thanks for the reminding me, I will move this up the model update list.

  8. turman.h

Hey there stumbled upon this as I was preparing an undead pirate themed one shot for my group. Just wondering if you had ever gotten around to updating this to feature a playable interior, I would like for the ships my players on on to have playable interiors.

    • Joanne Boorer (verified owner)

Hi, This product comes with playable interiors located in the Interiors folder.
