Hard leather boots struck the wooden planks as the sentry ascended the watchtower. With alarm bells still ringing in his ears he reached the top of the tower. His fellow soldier confirmed it and pointed. He looked to the distant wood and could see the scurrying of impish greenskins. Another bloody night ahead.

Would it be possible to get a variant of the straight staircase without the platforms? As in just the steps on a pair of I tiles and/or a single S tile?

Is there a possiblity to get a version of the S-low with a connection opening at the top?
That way you can connect the spiral to a straight piece.
Or a version of the spiral stairs starting straight and ending in a spiral at the top.

Is there any chance of a version of the stairs with Clorehaven style stone floor on top instead of wood?

It’s something we could possibly look at doing in the future. We did do trials for the steps in full stone but the wood was a better design in the end.

@Sam, thanks for explaining. It looked like rough stone stairs were in a Reddit photo of the Inn of the Welcome Wench but if that was a prototype i understand it got replaced with the wooden steps version. I’ll look into using the stone steps from the dias for the outdoor steps for now.

I am trying to create a S-tile model of a set of stairs going 180 degrees, similar to having two halves of “I-Spiral-Schist-Wood-Stair-B-v1.1” (without the platform) adjacent but on different heights. The end result will have the same height as “S-Full-Schist-Wood-Stair-v1.0” which is perfect from my point of view. I am not very successful in my attempt mainly because I’m not a 3d modeler. Could you add this to the next package? I honestly believe that other people will find this piece useful in a lot of cases, I would even prefer it to having two “I-Spiral-Schist-Wood-Stair-B-v1.1”

It’s something we could possibly have a look at, although the steps would be very tight considering the angle of incline.

I believe you may have misunderstood me. The angle of the steps does not change from what it is right now in “I-Spiral-Schist-Wood-Stair-B-v1.1”. The steps just continue to climb with the same angle till they reach the top of a “S-Full-Schist-Wood-Stair-v1.0” tile. They will be a total of 8 steps making only a 180-degree turn(half of “I-Spiral-Schist-Wood-Stair-B-v1.1” has 4 steps and turns 90-degrees). I believe @oniakki from the first comment is requesting the same piece as me. If you can contact me at [email protected] I can send you a picture with what I am trying to do.

I tried printing the spiral staircases (A and B) and it came out with the top semi-open. You can see through the wood texture on the top stair/landing. Is there a way to fix this?

Yes, if you increase the thickness of the top layer in your print settings this will fix this, Its a solid model so the thickness of the outside skin of the model is dependent on your printer settings.
