The Pathways is a set of 3D printable scatter terrain from the Hagglethorn Hollow series. Each piece interlocks between the bricks leaving minimal visible seam lines. The interlocking pieces of the Pathways are designed to fit with the Hagglethorn Bridge, with the Waymarkers acting as signposts.

This product is delivered as a .ZIP file pack containing 3d printer files (STL files) for use on a home 3D Printer.

Description

Little is known to the settlers of Hagglethorn Hollow as to the origins of the great ruins they discovered, reclaimed, and rebuilt into their proud little township. Some believe it to have been once one great castle and the foundations of their homes merely rooms within it, as such it is said that the paths scrapped out from beneath the earth that form their streets were the stone-paved hallways of the greater Castle.

Two versions of the Pathways are included in the download:

The main files for the different pathway pieces that are designed to fit on most conventional 3D printers.
A folder labeled “Road Version” with enlarged pieces designed to act as wider roads for carts and horses.

Updates:

30 November 2022 (version 1.4) Now contains a transition between Road and Pathway and Road to Forest cart Track.

Infill	100% for resin printing, 10% to 15% for most parts but increase to 20% for thin upright parts such as door frames for added strength
Layer Height	0.05 high quality on resin printers, .2 for Normal Quality .1 for High Quality (.2 Layer height is recommended)

Scale	28mm Wargames

Are their plans to make an OpenLock version of these pathways?

  We don’t have any plans at this stage as they’re a bit too thin to fit in OpenLOCK clips and the design of the joins wouldn’t facilitate them very well. I’ll note it down as a potential update for the future
  If you are after OpenLOCK roads we have the Streets and Foundations from Clorehaven that fit the bill nicely.

These are really nice pieces, and they’re reasonably quick to print. They’ll look fantastic when painted well but they’re quite thin and light and, in my opinion, they will need to be glued to a landscape to be functional. If you’re thinking they can be used as modular pieces to be placed where you want without fixing, then you may be a disappointed with them .

  We appreciate your feedback. We kept the pathways thin so they blend in easier with the ground you put them on and haven’t had any issues yet with them being too thin or light. You could always scale them up on the Z-axis if you’d prefer them a bit thicker.

An update on my earlier comment now that I’ve finished them: they work very well on a surface with some friction (such as a flocked landscape) as they stay in place even when bumped slightly. When painted, they look fantastic.

Heyo, is there a plan to make a transition piece?
F.e. a straight piece that starts small and widens so that you can make a pathway to a road and vise versa?

I love the idea of a transition piece between path and road sizes! Also, I had major trouble printing these as “support free” just flat on the bed. When it got to the tops, the relentless retractions kept clogging my nozzle. I oriented them almost straight up and down on the edge and did supports touching build plate, and they print way faster, and the detail looks way better too, in case anyone has the issues I did with these. They look great though.
