Description
The parapets and curtain walls of the Normans provided safety for their troops. Be it from their Saxon rivals or the weather, they provided shelter from rain and arrows. Non-structural, they were often hastily built on strategic sites before more permanent buildings like the keep were constructed.

Would it be possible to have an inside corner piece in a future update? I would love to be able to make a but more intricate wall designs. Thanks!
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Yes, this will be included in our upcoming wall extensions and corner towers update.
ragnarok66 (verified owner) –
Do you think it would be possible to include small holes to place magnets in so that the walls can hold together more easily?
Thanks by the way, great job once again!
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Good idea.
We will add this to the model updates list.

I was a bit disappointed that the size of the pieces are not to some kind of inch scale. It is making it difficult to make a connected shape (ie square) once you had feature peices like the gate and towers.
Adam Usher (verified owner) –
I noticed the off size as well. I just printed an even number of towers, 4 in my case and then as long as you have them on opposite sides of each other then the size is fine.

Are you planning to make a set of inner walls? Basically taller walls that would make up an interior area that is protected that if the outer walls were taken by the enemy the defenders can still shot down on them? Likely where the keep and kings quarters would be located. Not sure if the kings gate would still work, or need to be scaled as well.
Or do you have a recommended scale to print up to for the inner walls?
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
We have wall extensions in the pipeline to make the walls higher.
louanders (verified owner) –
I love all these pieces but I was also bothered they weren’t of a scale that is compatible with my other terrain.
Also, the largest stretch of wall is too big for the Ender 3. We have short, shortest, and long. Any chance of a medium?
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
I will add your suggestion for the Medium wall to our list of possible updates.
If you put the largest wall diagonally on the build plate it will fit.
I have included below a link to help with scaling your models to your preferred size.

Thank you. I rotated it. My question wasn’t so much about scaling the model for 32mm, 28mm etc… (know how to do that)as Jay’s comment above – the fact that they aren’t on an inch scale means they won’t fit alongside terrain using a one-inch grid. They could sit above it, of course, but you couldn’t say, put a 4inch x 4inch ground tile in the corner and have it line up.

Would it be possible to have an angle wall that would allow us to do hexagon or similar shapes with the walls?
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
That is a good suggestion I will add this to the update suggestion list.
Roem (verified owner) –
Will the gate be getting an updated model for use with the wall extensions?
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Yes we can do that.
justin.littlehammer (verified owner) –
Is it possible to get a transition piece for the wall extensions and the original? I was thinking maybe two types. One is a transition that is mostly just a set of stairs. The other would be stairs that transition midway to a landing and then stairs to the next level.
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
I will add this to the list of possible updates.
David Dickson (verified owner) –
Loving these walls! One question: I’m not sure what the negative spaces are for beneath each of the walls/towers. Are these intended to stack on top of other walls/structures somehow?
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Yes, these are for those who wish to have higher walls by using the extensions included in this zip file.

Any possibility to get a version of the towers in this set with crenellations instead of the roof?
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Thanks for your suggestion will put this on our model update list.

Please excuse what may be a stupid question, I’m new to this and started printing on the weekend. I’m using a Neptune Elegoo 3 Pro and have printed great walls. I cannot seem to slice some files though – notably the tower from this set. I’m using Cura 5.5. Any advice please
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Try turning on the build plate.
AlexOzerov (verified owner) –
Hello! Please consider adding a Hexagon Fort Wall option with a cut on one side only (for connecting at right angles to buildings) and perhaps another option with cuts turned in the other direction (for a larger number of possible combinations) Thank you for your work! You are best!
Jo Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi Alex.
Thanks for your suggestion I will add it to the models update list.
Roem (verified owner) –
Can we get an outside corner that is 45° to go with the 90°? Would allow non-right-angle corners.
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Thanks for your suggestion. This has been added to our model update list.
Roem (verified owner) –
possibly also a 120° or so corner?
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Thanks for your suggestion. This has been added to our model update list.

I printed the fort walls, wall transition steps and the corresponding wall extensions. My plan was to print the transition steps on either side of the extended King’s Gate. The steps, however, only allow the steps to approach the King’s Gate from one side. I am getting ready to “mirror” the transition steps and print that to allow the steps to rise up to meet the gate from both sides. Do I also need to mirror the wall extension under the steps? Maybe add this option to the set? Thanks, really love this set.
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi
Thanks for your suggestion. A mirror option has now been added.

The adaptors for Throne and Ash are great — could we also please get matching adaptors for the wall extension pieces? All of my current Norman walls/towers/gates/etc. are at the extension height. Thanks!
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Great idea. Will forward this to our modeler to get this made.
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi, Norman Fort Walls have been updated to have the Short Wall Extensions in the Throne and Ash connectors folder.
SC (verified owner) –
Would it be possible to have an corner with brick textures on 3 sides as an alternative for an end of wall piece.
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi, Thanks for this suggestion. Yes this is possible and I have forwarded this to one of our modelers.
Jay (verified owner) –
fantastic model !
i was wondering, i am looking to use a lot of your kits to create my own norman ”helm’s deep”
and im wondering, im even down to pay extra,
could we get a wall section with a small culvert at the base ? 🙂
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi Jay, can you please contact [email protected]
Eric.Lofgren (verified owner) –
The wall set is lovely, but the gate and gate door don’t actually connect, even though there’s a hinge on the gate itself. Is there another piece of the set that’s used here, or is there something I’m missing?
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi Eric, the gate and connects using a piece of filament or if are resin printing you can use wire.
