Description

They raced into the mist-shrouded hedge maze, with the sounds of the creatures pursuit hot on their heels. It had been a panicked decision. Neither of them knew the maze, just hoping against hope that they lost the thing pursuing them before encountering a dead end. As they rushed past the sinister statues, overgrown and choked with evil vines, It dawned on them that worse things might live amongst these twisting paths…

8 questions for Hedge Maze

  1. Håkan Karlsson

Would be nice if there was an openlock version.

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

We dabbled with the idea but came to the conclusion that a free-standing section gives far more options when building than an OpenLOCK section. They are stable enough to not need to be anchored to their neighbors.

  2. ernesto.pini16

This is awesome! Could you please tell us the color scheme you used?

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

Sure. We primed with Angel Green. for the leaves we dry brushed with Goblin Green (army painter) then Moot Green (Citadel). picked out some of the bushier clumps with a basecoat of Venom Wyvern (AP), then drybrush with Commando Green (AP), and a final highlight drybrush of Nurgling Green (Citadel). We then used Agrax Earthshade (citadel wash) and Green tone(AP) in patches to create a bit more depth. For the vines, statues and rocks, we used the same wood and stone colouration that we have used throughout Shadowfey, which you can find in the Painting Shadowfey: ruins here on the Knowledgebase.

I also think an OpenLock version of these would be better. One with both wall and floor connections, that would work with the existing walls and floors. My reason for saying this is that I love the ability to gradually reveal parts of the map to players, and to do so I need to be able to build “rooms”. Could you also provide such a version for people that feel the same as me?

    • Mike

Thanks! That’s a great idea and something we can add to our list of updates for the future.

  4. Matt Barker

We can get the Terrain Tinker guys to make an OpenLOCK version for Terrain Tinker

  5. Andrew Whelan (verified owner)

Sliced them all with no supports for FDM printer as instructed. No resizing or anything … A-G have all failed on the first layer. I just printed a dragon over night so I know it is not my bed … hope I can get them to work.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Looked at the files you mentioned and can not see any issues and they print fine.

  6. Andrew Whelan (verified owner)

Im sorry my bed was off level. Pieces are great I’m on the third one now.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Thats good. Great to hear. Happy printing.

  7. Eva (verified owner)

Such pretty pieces! I only get an error when printing piece E (the corner piece with the statue). Could this be an error with the file or should I check my slicing software? (I don’t seem to have issues with the other pieces). Thanks in advance!

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Hi Eva. Can you please send a pic of the issue to [email protected] so we can help you fix this issue.

  8. AlexOzerov

excellent models…unfortunately not suitable for creating circular labyrinths

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

      Thanks for your suggestion.
I will add this to our list of possible updates.
