Port Winterdale Bastion and Ramparts is designed as an Italian style port fortress. It comprises a multi-part building and OpenLOCK clipping system that can be used to make many different castle layouts. There are whole and ruined versions of the bastions and ramparts. These can be used for role-playing or table top war games of a fantasy, historical or pirate setting.

Featuring multilevel removable roofs and floors, it has plenty of room and allows for excellent miniature placement.

The bastions print without supports as separate levels.

22 questions for Port Winterdale Ramparts and Ruins

  1. zen9022

I am hoping to purchase my first 3D printer in January and I am considering the Flashforge
Adventurer 3 printer which has a maximum print size of 150mm by 150mm by 150mm. What is the maximum print dimension Port Winterdale Bastion and Ramparts and your other products on kickstarter?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We will setup a small print version for development. The longer rampart with stairs and ruined bastion are larger than 150mm dimensions. Usually we design for 200x200x200 mm print volume and cut later for small version print beds.

  2. Ryan Fitch (verified owner)

Any chance we could get a version of the corner tower base designed to be an inner corner? Right now we can only have rectangular perimeters. I’d love to have some variety in my layout by having a more zigzag wall.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

A great suggestion. We’ll add it to our ideas to development queue.

  3. mdivancic (verified owner)

Any chance you will be adding a gate to these models? I can use the Winterdale gate but it looks out of place.

    • Matt Barker (verified owner)

Yes, this will be added as part of a big ‘Port Citadel’ add-on in the future

  4. caine (verified owner)

A T-version of the tower and/or the wall would be nice too!

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We can add it to the suggested list of updates.

  5. ellocopablo2006 (verified owner)

I have some issues trying to put the open lock click and some parts broken there is a correct way to do it?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

You need to remove the print supports in the front of the ports to allow the clip to connect.

  6. mdivancic (verified owner)

Any update on a gate for this?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Not yet, we’re looking into developing ideas at the moment.

  7. Cloudman (verified owner)

What is the difference between the 3 bastion tops?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

There is no difference between the bastion tops.

  8. Cloudman (verified owner)

Any timescale available for correcting the mis-alignments of walls with the bastions?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

It will be done in the next week or so.

  9. Peter (verified owner)

Hi guys, silly question, but with a fully enclosed bastion setup, how are people meant to get in/out without siege equipment or ladders / tunnels? There is no gate entrances 🙁

Also, what alignment issue is there? I’d prefer not to spend hundreds of hours printing loads of these parts if they don’t align properly.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

This will be updated soon. We are looking at developing a gate entrance in the near future.

  10. Cloudman (verified owner)

Peter, the bastion has some interfaces to the walls that are correct and some that are about 2mm out so they will not all align correctly and obvious gaps result.
They are to be fixed “soon”.
I have held off further printing as they will only need to be reprinted otherwise.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

The update for this will be out later today.

  11. Kayo de Bakker

Hi! I really like the bastions and if possible I’d like to combine it with Clorehaven’s modular battlements. Would there be an issue combining those walls to these bastions?

    • Nicholas Jebson

Hey Kayo, You may have problems making them look nice lined up alongside each other. My recommendation would be to import them into Meshmixer and check to see how the files look hard up against each other.

  12. fakefake1976 (verified owner)

hello great print stunning models. i am in my second print of walls and am now looking for the gate. i thought it was already out but apparently not. a previous comment asked the same and you said one would be added soon. that was over a year ago. i really do not want to print the other gate that doesn’t match. any update?

    • Nicholas Jebson

Hi Fakefake, We are working on a good time to fit this into the schedule, don’t worry we do have it in mind.

  13. Voodoo (verified owner)

I printed out the bastion and ramparts. On the “L-Base-v 1.1” one side is aligned and the other side is not. I downloaded the update v1.2 and reprinted just the bottom section of the “L-Base-v 1.1” and I still have one side that is aligned and can connect to the rampart and one side is not aligned and won’t connect. Is there an “L-Base-v 1.2” The update says v 1.2 but the “L-Base” file is labelled v 1.1 Also the rampart piece is still v 1.0. Am I missing something? or does the L-Base need to be adjusted? Thanks for your time.

  14. Voodoo (verified owner)

Regarding my last post about the L base and not aligning. I solved it. L-Base v 1.1 works perfect.

  15. Ron Weaver (verified owner)

Hoping to see a gate for this someday… really love this design.

  16. johncleave (verified owner)

Hi, are there any plans to add a ruined version of the shorter wall section? It would be awesome to have it match up with the stairs piece with the ruined end to create a fully breached section of the wall, I’m using these for the siege mode in Song of Ice and Fire and plan to replace the wall sections with the destroyed versions as they get destroyed in game.

I’d also love the gatehouse like everyone else 🙂

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Thanks for the great suggestion. We’ll add it to the development list.

  17. rick.prid (verified owner)

will we be getting a gate for the bastion and ramparts?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

There is no gatehouse at the moment, but we are planning on doing one in the future.

  18. kevin_debaets (verified owner)

still no gate, almost after 2 years of asking 🙁

Matt Barker (verified owner) – January 3, 2019
Yes, this will be added as part of a big “Port Citadel” add-on in the future

is this add on still under development?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Yes we’re planning on revealing it in our next Kickstarter in the next month.

  19. Shaun Kantor (verified owner)

What is the scale of these pieces? I have the Bastion I base printing now and the 2 doorway openings appear to be far too small for even a small 28mm mini to fit into. Is Winterdale and Port Winterdale set at a smaller scaled then rampage products?

    • Nicholas Jebson

The model is sized for 28mm, though you are correct that the door is a little small when placed next to a 28mm figure. We will be adding it to the updates and getting that sorted.

  20. seitoheiwa (verified owner)

Heyho, I really like those version of ramparts, but I have a suggestion/question.

Is there a plan fork a kinked version, like with the ironhelm ramparts?
So that you are not forced to print a tower, just because you want a curve in the ramparts.

    • Mike

      Hi Seitoheiwa,
      Thats a great idea!
Not one we had thought of but definitely worth doing. We will add this to our list of model updates to be done in the future

  21. awmac3 (verified owner)

+1 on the gate request. It’s odd not to have a gate that fits with the walls. Thanks.

  22. wagner.bonilla

Hello… Is it compatible with the castle tower Rampage system?

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

The Port Winterdale Ramparts were made with OpenLOCK so that this set could join together. You could use alongside the Rampage castle system but the parts are a different size so are not compatible with the those parts.
