The Lava Floor pack contains various tiles that can be clipped together to form lava streams and magma pools in dungeons. The stone is designed in the Rough Stone Floor style and is compatible with all other OpenLOCK products.

Description

The ground is just as dangerous as the fire elementals and salamanders that lurk here. One false step could lead you into being quickly immolated by the burning lava pools or engulfed by spouts of hungry flame.

Removing supports from the OpenLOCK ports

These all seem to be missing their central support blocks, No? The other tiles I’ve printed (e.g. Rough Stone) all have material in the center to support, where these are totally empty. My prints came out pretty stringy and weird. Is this meant to be or maybe an oversight?

  This is intentional so that people can print them in a clear filament and add LED lights underneath. Have you activated any bridging programs in your slicer as that really helps with models like these?

Ahh that makes sense. My tiles looked okay from the outside, it was just when I flipped them over that they looked weird and different from previous prints and I wasn’t sure that was intentional. It’s funny you mention lights because I’m literally printing out some of the all-lava tiles right now in clear resin for exactly this purpose and it didn’t even occur to me (only a few tiles and I have the clear resin so why not).

  We didn’t make a specific receptacle for the LED system for these. But that is a good idea. I’ll get onto it.

  Not at the moment but. Basically; they are printed in clear yellow and then painted orange on the high parts of the Lava and then Black on the top flat parts
