5 questions for The Thrall Giant

  1. Andy Giffin

Do these files come with Bases attached?

    • Nicholas Jebson

The giants come as they are so that you can place them on whatever base you want. The bases that we used on ours are from the Roads of ruin bases set, or we have a free pack of flat bases here: Flat bases

  2. Insaniac99 (verified owner)

If I don’t scale them at all, how tall are these? I’m wondering if they work for as a proxy for a giant that is 4.5-4.75 inches tall from foot to head, but I think it can easily stretch that range up to 5 inches

    • Mike (Printable Scenery)

Without being scaled they come in around 137mm tall or 5.3 inches. If you wanted to you could easily scale them by 2-3% to fit in that height range.

  3. Cole Richardson (verified owner)

Hi there, are the supports supposed to be so rigid? I don’t know about anyone else, but I had an incredibly difficult time removing the models from the supports. Difficulties with the supports aside, the model looks great!

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Thanks for pointing this out. Was it any particular parts that had this issue or all the parts?

  4. Cole Richardson (verified owner)

Frankly, all parts had this particular issue. The body was the worst culprit, with the weapons being second. I decided to print the flail for the model, big mistake. The chain snapped off before the supports did (for context I’m using ABS like resin, so the resin is usually pretty sturdy). However, if there is a silver lining, the supports would make for some fantastic construction bits on a sci-fi/modern base!

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Thanks for pointing this out. This was one of the first products we made in resin so were new to putting supports on. Will update this product with new supports.

  5. Cole Richardson (verified owner)

This might genuinely be the best customer service I’ve ever seen! Not only are the models great, but you’re willing to listen attentively to criticism as well! I’ll absolutely recommend more people to Printable Scenery!

Quick question, do all the giants share the same support style and structure? As much as I like the giants, I’m a bit hesitant to go through the hassle again.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

      Thanks for your feedback.
At the moment yes all the giants have the same supports.
We will do the supports on all of them. This will show as an update once they are completed.
