Toppled, broken, and choked with weeds; the giant statue serves as a stark reminder that all things fade. Its benevolent gaze now stares blankly at the sky as it slowly crumbles with time.

5 questions for Giant Statue

  1. tamarack928 (verified owner)

ooh what’s the paint scheme here. The white color? iS it just a white drybrush over a grey?

    • Mike

      Hi tamarack!
The state was started with a Field Grey (Army Painter) basecoat then drybrushed with Banshee Brown (AP), Skeleton Bone (AP), then Mummy Robes (AP) and finally White. It gives it a nice, aged look working from grey through the cream tones to white.
To add a bit more aging it got a few spot washes of Agrax Earthshade and Military Shader.

      Hope that helps!

This is a beautiful piece of terrain. Unfortunately, I don’t have a 3D printer. I have also been unable to find another vendor through the “get it printed” tab that carries this piece. Do you know of any websites where I could order a printed copy of this terrain piece? Thank you!

    • Mike

      Hi!

That’s odd, as the licensed printers listed on the product page should be able to print it for you.
I’m sure if you reach out directly they’ll be able to help you out as that is the list of places you could buy a printed version from.

Is it possible to obtain a version of this and other shadowfey STLs without all the foliage and shrubs? I prefer being able to customize those kinds of things and would rather use actual flocking for it than PLA.

    • Mike

      Hi Zmcrotts,

We will add to this our list for potential model updates in the future. As you’ve purchased the product, when it happens you’ll be notified 🙂

Just FYI, it seems that the half cut files are corrupted on the zip file. I’ve tried downloading and slicing the half cuts multiple times and they keep failing. The quarter cuts seem to be working though.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

While I could not replicate the error you were having, I did notice the old versions were in the Half cut folder along with the new ones, so I have updated the zip file.
I checked the half version in Netfabb, Prusa slicer, and Cura slicer 4.8.0. We are having customers having issues with Cura 5.1. Is this what you are using?
If you are still having an issue, can you please send a screenshot to [email protected]

  5. Andrake720 (verified owner)

Hi, thanks for the follow-up. Confirmed it an issue with Cura 5.1.0 and they have said they are investigating it.

      Thanks for letting us know.
