Description
The Duke held a Fort of his own in the hills overlooking the wider kingdom. From this vantage, they saw the invaders besieging their beloved home as smoke trailed up into the sky. People fled up the hill in droves, and the Duke welcomed them with open arms. His duty was to protect, and this Fort could hold out against a foe much larger with a much smaller garrison. At least that was what he’d been told when he took over.

Is this SUARE BASTION FORT strech goal ??? (1450 backers)
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Yes, you are correct. This is the Stretch goal originally listed as the Square bastion fort.

Is there a guide to know what to print and how much of each to recreate the picture? Just getting started on this beast and it would be great to have a checklist I can work through.
Matt Barker –
Yes, if you check out the images for upper level, lower level and small parts list you will see what you need

Copy that thanks Matt I see that now. Sorry about that, appreciate the response. I’ve printed a few pieces now that I’ve been using in my dnd campaign and my group is blown away. I love the fact that I can print each thing separately and use it in different settings, and ultimately combine all of these pieces to form a massive castle in the end for a grand finale.

Will there be an option for a blank shield decoration that can be painted or used with a transfer sheet image?
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Great idea. This will be include in the Throne Room furnishings.

What set is the I Adaptors for extending the walls in?
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi Brain
The I adaptors are included with the Small Square Bastions.

I have noticed the “Dukes-Fort-H-to-Female-Gate-connector” and “Dukes-Fort-H-to-Male-Gate-connector” are both significantly tighter than other connectors, both for the wall connectors and the buttress connectors. It feels like the tolerances are ever so slightly different. These printed on the same plate as other connectors that had no issues, so I think it’s safe to single out the H-series.

Thanks for pointing this out. I will added this to our update list.

Hi I’m new to 3D Printing and thinking of printing this fort as my first SytemHEX structure. Is there some guide/how-to that I can follow to know which models need to be printed and how many? The parts list looks overwhelming.
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
Hi, Thanks for reaching out. There are 3 pictures in the product galley that shows the Lower Level, Upper level and the small parts list that shows how many of each need to be printed.

For anyone who is printing the Dukes Fort, check this guide first:
https://www.printablescenery.com/2025/06/06/tips-for-3d-printing-throne-ash-models/
Specifically the “Adding brim to models” section for the bowman’s battlements tilting shields.

These I and B adaptors, where do we find them? Are they the Hex-Adaptor-B-F-v2.1.stl and Hex-Adaptor-B-M-v2.1.stl in the Duke’s Fort folder? They seem to be the right adaptors, I am just not sure if they are the proper width to achieve this rectangle expansion.
Joanne Boorer (verified owner) –
There is another folder in this zip file called Tower connector walls. The I-Connectors are in this folder.
Nedved_Hobbying (verified owner) –
Ok so you might want to update that diagram then, because where it says B Adaptors you actually want the Dukes Fort H to Female Gate unless I am wrong?
Because the B Adaptor will not connect the 180 Hex Wall to the tower pieces for Dukes Fort.
Same with the I Adaptor. It would connect two tower pieces together fine. But not the 180 Wall. That requires the arrow looking adaptor, not the x looking one. (from the bottom or top view).

Are you able to tell me exactly where this adaptor is located and the file name? I tried printing a few that I have found and none fit properly.
They are called I Adaptors and B Adaptors on the diagram, what are the exact file names though? Before I waste more filament lol. I am just trying to get these connectors printed then I can hobby my Fort up. Thanks.
