The Mimic House is a 3D printable warped Tudor cottage designed for tabletop wargames and role-playing games. The Mimic House is a colossal aberration disguised as an undamaged cottage to lure in unwary treasure hunters, before revealing its true nature and swallowing them whole.

The Mimic House pairs seamlessly with the Perfectly Normal House, designed as either a Tudor-style cottage or as the Mimic house’s “disguised” form. Place it in the scene and replace it with the Mimic House when it is ready to attack!

Description

‘The party didn’t know what was happening until it was far too late. Han’s who had knocked, was the first into the cavernous maw that had erupted through the doorway. Dieter went next, barely able to scream before he too was gods knows where. Pietr turned to run, but before he knew it the creature’s shadow was all around him. “it’s a house, it can’t move that fast!” was the last thing he thought before the portal consumed him.

2 questions for Mimic House

  1. Ron Weaver (verified owner)

Alignment holes for filament would have been grand when assembling the roof.

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

you are right. we will look to add these this week in an update. I had added pinpoints to the Perfectly Normal House and thought I had for this too.

  2. James Gitzlaff (verified owner)

Great looking model, but FWIW, I’m getting a slicing error (Unexpected Error) for the Mimic House files using Cura 5.1 (the current production version) on a Mac running OSX 12.4. It’s a consistent issue which I can replicate it on my side, but Cura 4.13 seemingly works fine (albeit excruciatingly slowly on my M1 Mac).

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

I have checked through our Prusa slicer, Cura and Netfabb but located no errors.
We have heard people having issues with the latest versions of Cura.
Can you send us a screen grab of the error to [email protected]

  3. nelliott8825 (verified owner)

Receiving the same error on cura as mentioned on another question. Says something is wrong with the model and to fix it and then load it into cura again. I t won’t slice in the condition it is in. It’s only doing it for the 1st roof segment for me.
