Throne & Ash Community Spotlight
Throne & Ash has been out for over a year now, and in that time, we’ve seen some really impressive castles being built. So we thought we’d take a moment to spotlight some of the incredible builds the community has shared recently.
If you’ve been building your own Throne & Ash castles and feel like sharing your work with the community, head over to the Printable Scenery & Openlock Facebook page here. There, you can see all these spotlight builds and more, and share your own for the community to see.
Seb Makes Stuff
Seb Makes Stuff has created an amazing Throne & Ash castle and shared his process on YouTube. He goes through the models, the painting, and putting it all together, as well as a bunch of great tips along the way.
Dave Whitwell
Dave has made a massive, sprawling kingdom, combining high and low walls to great effect, creating an almost peasant quarter on the side of the castle. The King & Country buildings look great to fill out the homes of the castle, too.

Andy Houston
Andy has assembled a truly epic castle using a wide array of models from the original pledge through to the stretch goals. The classic grey brickwork looks really impressive too.

Hillary Mesler
This is a great example of a castle using the curved hex angles to create a wonderfully unique, asymmetrical kingdom layout. We love the rusty portcullis and the green roof tiles, too.

Michael Bruce
Here’s a different take on the Throne & Ash models, using the height from the towers and the ruined tower tops to create a very player-friendly Mordheim-looking table set-up. We love the use of the city foundations too; it goes very well with the towers and buildings.

Jeremy Gard
We love Jeremy’s setup, as it really captures the realism of the Throne & Ash models. All the extra work with the flocking, the stone courtyard, and even the use of a backdrop gives this an impressive diorama feel, while staying perfectly playable too.

Clement-Raoul Boulais
We love a classic square castle, and this build by Clement-Raoul is an impressive example of how you can do it with the square towers and battlements on the corners. The inclusion of some ruined wall sections is a great little piece of narrative for players too.

There’s so many more amazing community builds out there, and we’d love to spotlight more as we see them. So be sure to head over to the Printable Scenery & OpenLOCK Facebook page and share yours to inspire the community.
