11 questions for Roads of Ruin

  1. will.henry49

Do these roads have any option to clip together or be magnetized together?

    • Nicholas Jebson

They are designed to sit next to each other and meld into the table rather than clip together.

  2. Mark Warren (verified owner)

Piece “L” is missing from the archive.

    • Mike (verified owner)

      Hi Mark,

We just checked the archive and it looks to be there, would you mind re-downloading it to confirm?

      Thanks

  3. Kheldras (verified owner)

Superb models, print very easy. Highly recommendable.

Sadly misses a 45 deg corner with smooth edges so you can have unbroken 45er roads. (there is a 45 deg corner with broken edges though)

    • Matt Barker

Yes, I think your right, We could add a couple more pieces to this model, we also need another broken end piece. We will get this on our updates que.

  4. Ron Weaver (verified owner)

I don’t see any pieces to put at the end of an intact piece to road sections to have it “transition” into rubble… example would be to take the “A” piece and just rubble one of the connecting ends. Seems like an obvious oversight, if you could kindly sort that out. Thanks 🙂

    • Mike (verified owner)

      Hi Ron,

Thats a good idea to have some pieces so the ruined road can transition into the ground. It has been added to our list of model updates so once it is done you should receive an email with the new version 🙂
      Thanks!

  5. Mike Melander

I was ready to purchase this and then noticed the comment about the unbroken 45 degree piece missing. I must strongly agree that this piece is missing and integral to having variety in your roads. I moved on and purchased another item. When will you get this item added?

    • Mike (verified owner)

      Hi Mike!

Thanks for adding your voice, we will look at updating this model in the near future. Keep an eye out for the update 🙂

  6. nate potok (verified owner)

When will the files be updated to include a straight road piece such as “A” with a transition into the ground?

    • Mike (verified owner)

      Hi Nate!

Seeing your request for it I’ve bumped the update for this set a few spots up in the queue so hopefully in the next couple of months.
If you’ve already purchased the product (or as part of a pledge) you will receive an email when the update goes out
      Thanks 🙂

  7. Tyler Stratton (verified owner)

I would love the above additions to be added. Forgot I was going to wait until they were but then bought any ways haha. They are great though!

Having a very difficult time when slicing Road I. Stops at about 75% slicing and any computer I try to slice it with through Cura is eating all of the CPU usage.

    Any ideas?

    • Mike (Printable Scenery) (verified owner)

Have you made sure you have the latest version of Cura installed on your pc?
I ran that piece through Cura myself and it sliced fine in 10-15 secs.
It could potentially be a RAM issue if its eating up heaps of your computer’s usage.
Depending on the printer you’re using you could also try a different slicer.
Let me know how you go

What colors were used for this? Thanks in advance!

    • Jo Boorer

We used Army painter chaos red base, drybrush Necromancers Cloak, drybrush Dungeon Grey, and drybrush Ash grey.
Each drybrush needs to be lighter than the previous

Hello, any news on the transiton piece to end the roads? they would be really needed for the A, M and Q files to create some kind of road with this set

    • Jo Boorer

This job is currently in one of our modelers queue so not long now.

  11. Brandon Canty (verified owner)

Does Roads of Ruin have a “town square” version that these roads can connect to?

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

No but thanks for the suggestion. I will add it to our list.
