Description

All efforts to open the Gothic Gatehouse are rebuffed. The mighty oak doors of ancient design are held fast by mechanisms of profane design. But that doesn’t stop the visions coming to you in the darkest hours of the night. Visions of approaching the gatehouse, the doors opening, and a darkness darker than night inviting you inside its kingdom.

Can we have a version where the round towers attach at a 30 degree rotation from what they do now (effectively allowing wall, tower, gate, tower, wall all in a straight line)? While this would require a lvl 1 tower section with a couple of the connection points removed (or the gate adapted, I’ve mocked up adding a small buttress in my slicer), it would allow for plug opening in the towers that is in the center, for use either as an arch, window / arrow slit, or door.

Playing around some more, I’ve realized doing the above messes with the tessellation. However, as it is making a simple hex shape castle (with 1x wall between each tower and the gate taking the place of a wall + adaptors) not possible. I think making the gate wider (looks like 125% across) so it occupies the same space as a wall + adaptors which the towers then plug into would be better than the current way it tessellates, unless there is going to be something else that occupies the same hex setup to use on the opposite side of the castle from the gate.
