Description page says that there are presupported files in the zip file, but I don’t see any. Any timetable on when they will be available?

Hey Bill, checked the Download and your right, the Pre-supported files had not been properly uploaded! we have updated it now so if you go and re-download the files you will find them there.

I don’t really understand the Caravan Tender vs Caravan Shaft. The Tender appears to be the right piece for the front. The Shaft has a hole in the top like the Caravan should mount on top but the sizing is all wrong.

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

The shaft was designed for resin printers while the tender and caravan B sections were split up for FDM printing purposes. However you are correct that the Shaft model is oversized for some reason. We are re-scaling that now.

It’s good that you caught that. I had to reprint the presupposed version. A few other things:
    * plz also add a presupposed version of the part C. I had to do the supports on that myself after learning that part B wasn’t needed if I printed the shaft. IIRC.

    * the presupposed versions appeared to be scaled down. As such, the holes for the axles and wheels are too small for filament. I might try just gluing the wheels on, but bummer that filament won’t work for axles.

I’ve bought and printed many items from PS, and generally am pleased. Thx for providing updates.

    Bill

Not sure if it’s just me, but I’m getting a SignatureDoesNotMatch error when I try to download the new version. I checked another model (shadow throne) and it downloaded just fine.

Hey Bill. When we uploaded the fix for the camp an apostrophe was added to the link, which the server didn’t like. This has been fixed now. Sorry about that

  5. jocke_hem (verified owner)

I think the pre-supported version of the shaft is stil oversized. 🙁

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

Jocke_hem I have just looked at it and you are quite correct. It will be re-sized this morning.

Just download the model to day, and the Traveler-Caravan-Shaft pre-supported is still to big.

    • Mike (verified owner)

      Hi Oliver,

Thank you for pointing that out, we must have missed it when we were doing the pre-supports.
We will have it updated in the next few days for you 🙂

Love these! I’m having trouble figuring out how to print the Traveler-Caravan Tender -v1.0 on my FDM printer. adding supports doesn’t seem to place very well. I was hoping just to lay it flat, but then I would lose all the details.
    Feedback appreciated.

      Hi Dom,

We’d suggest printing with supports touching build plate for that piece. Just be careful when removing the supports as it can be fragile.

  8. Doc Webb (verified owner)

A great model, but FYI: the pre-supportedTraveler-Caravan-Shaft stl is STILL oversized.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. This file was updated but the link was still attached to the old zip file. The link is correct now.
