Description
No ordinary stone manor are these buttressed bastions, for only those in the highest standing of his majesty’s court are permitted residence in these self-contained castles. The large ornate windows which adorn the higher levels offer fitting views of the royal courtyards in which they are nestled.
A fortified stone tower within a castle, Stone keeps carried considerable political as well as military importance and could take up to a decade or more to build. They were used as a refuge of last resort should the rest of the castle fall to an adversary.
