How to build Castle Agnes using HEX template pieces

With the release of the Queen’s Quarters, we thought we’d show how to build a castle called Castle Agnes using the model and some of the other new models from this week. This one’s a bit more of a complex build and uses a wide variety of models from Throne & Ash. To show you how to build Castle Agnes, we’ve included a graphic top-down of the parts used to make it easier to understand how the HEX template works. At the end of the article, we’ve included all the templates you need to mock up your layouts.

To build Castle Agnes, you’ll need the following:

Building Castle Agnes should be pretty straightforward from there, and starting with a top-down layout really helps. We also recommend trying a “dry fit” first, laying the pieces out and arranging them, but not connecting them. It helps get a clear picture of what you’re building. And to help even more, here are all the templates to build your own castles as PNGs so you can use them in something like Photoshop or print them and cut them out.

That covers all the SystemHEX footprints, and all models share these. You can use the walls for example in blace of the new Bowmans Battlements as they use the same footprint. Hope these help, and have fun building your own castles with Throne & Ash!

  1. I’d love to see a more straight version of this / PNG for straight walls. Hexagonal castles were common, but with straight walls not curved ones (historically). 😀 Looking cool!
