The Raised Caverns set is designed to be used as scatter dungeon terrain for fantasy tabletop and role-playing games. It includes scatter terrain pieces that feature elevated cavern terrain of various sizes. This pack is part of the Goblin Grotto Cavern tile system and is compatible with the Grotto Walls and Grotto Floors cavern set. The pieces are suited to large printers and some parts are available for small printers.

The Raised Caverns are versatile pieces that can be used in a variety of ways for different gaming styles. They can be used to create quick cavern crawls or outdoor wilderness encounters. They can be combined with negative spaces that can be filled with printed pictures or patterned table mats to give extra depth to an environment.

This product is part of the Full Regional License to Print (Monthly Payments) or Goblin Grotto Add-On. Please log in if you backed the campaign.

This product is delivered as a .ZIP file pack containing STL files for use on a home 3D Printer. The files are set to 28mm scale but can be rescaled before printing.

Water seeping down from the land above had created a vast archipelago of rock islands in the grotto caves. Occasionally raised caverns  provided vantage points to cast a light spell or shine a torch to show the way.

4 questions for Raised Caverns

What are the bridges from? I checked (and own) all three grotto packs and don’t see the bridge in any of them.

  2. Sakura.j.lim (verified owner)

Disregard, no sooner did i hit enter did i find it was its own download. Thanks 🙂

  3. David Aleshire (verified owner)

Follow up to this question though, i have the bridges download (rickety bridges) but the ones in this picture do not appear to be straight flat bridges like the ones in the download, these ones kind of bend in the middle like a real bridge would, is that something you did personally with blender or something or just a trick of the painting?

    • Nicholas Jebson

I believe they started as straight bridges (as a curved bridge would need printer supports) and then we heated up the PLA in the center of the bridge to bend it with a hair dryer. you can see the little video we did about this here: Bending Bridges.

  4. Mats Lagerstrom (verified owner)

Would it be possible to get an updated version with magnet holes in the bottom like in the grotto floor and wall sections?

    • Mike (Printable Scenery) (verified owner)

      Hi Mats,

Thanks for your suggestion. I’ve added it to our list of possible future model updates for when this set comes up for revision
