Can someone help me out on the ways to paint the Tarp/Linnen of the balloon of the Dwarven Airship?
The rest is going on along perfectly.
Woods in different colour and making it “shine” with woodgrain wash.
Accents in blue and red (somehow these colours just work really well) and gold for even more vibrance. But the tarp of the balloon?
Closest I can come to how to paint this is a tutorial like:So any help is welcome.
Will post some pics of the balloon when it’s finished.

Hay dude this is how I got that look. I first primed it with Army Painter leather brown and then simply dry brushed it with Army Painter Arid Earth.
I painted the whole balloon that way and then washed the ropes with Army Painter Mid Tone.
Hope this’ll be of some help. -

Great paintjob. I love the yellow on the point of the baloon.

Thanks.
I tried to stick to the different wood colors, gold/lead or copper for the metal parts and red and blue for the adornments.
Did the same color scheme for the wooden parts of the hull of the ship.
All the metal plating is “painted” silver (primer) with copper rivets. And since I don’t have fire arms in my campaign yet, I attached a roman scorpion instead of the canon.
