The Count demanded excellence in all things, and his tower was no different. Only the best bricks, the finest wood, and the most distinguished builders were permitted by the Count. Not that any of it mattered once the invaders set their sights on it with thier siege equipment. It crumbled like all other towers made of bricks and wood and made by great builders.
