4 questions for Corpse Giant

  1. grizpapa (verified owner)

I started printing this and realized that I loaded the Unsupported G-Code on the card instead of the Supported One I sliced.

    Will it work out okay?

The Supported file I sliced was using Tree Supports.

    • Nicholas Jebson

For a resin or FDM printer?

  2. grizpapa (verified owner)

Sorry, should have mention that it was FDM.

Anyway I let it run and it printed really well.
It did get crazy where the legs come together and almost failed but hung in there.

    • Nicholas Jebson

      great to hear

  3. grizpapa (verified owner)

How did you guys paint this for the photos?
Or what steps/colors did you use?

    • Mike

      Hi Grizpapa,
The corpse giant was undercoated with Chaotic red spray (Army Painter/AP), then basecoated with Bugman’s Glow (Citadel). He was then drybrushed with Tanned Flesh (AP) before being covered in Blood for the Blood God (Citadel).
Once that had dried then the flesh was highlighted with Kobold Skin (AP) and the bones were highlighted with Skeleton Bone (AP).
      Hope that helps!

  4. icristian.hrimiuc (verified owner)

Do not use the supported version of this as it is highly inefficient. It uses too much resin for supports and it is impossible to clean.

    • Nicholas Jebson

We agree Christian, the old pre-supported corpse giant was a little over-engineered. We have just updated the folder with a far more efficient pre-supported model. This should drastically cut down on the resin used and be far easier to separate from the model while retaining all the awesome details.
