Archanical bialic compressor:
While the Great Warlock trusted the Dwarven smiths to forge the steel for the construction of his new city, the smaller workings of automation and mechanical device designed to process and harness the power of the Wyrm’s putrid black bile were strictly built under his observation by his Halfling smiths.
The first of which was the Archanical bialic compressor. This rather noisy contraption relied on the constant workings of its cylindrical bellow to stir up the fumes of the precious fluid, much like the workings of the actual gut of the Dragon, where they would be distilled in the compressor above. Due to the consistent use of the contraption and the caustic nature of the substance it processed, the many tools required for its cleaning and maintenance were kept in draws built around the central device.
It certainly may look a complicated device, yet the Archanical Orrey is one of the simpler contraptions found within the Tower of the Navigator. For time immemorial spell casters have looked to the heavens to better understand all aspects of the Arcane, Warlocks, Wizards, Sorcerers and Druids alike, to some degree or other, have elements of the planet’s alignments embedded in their ancient studies of spell craft.
It is then only fitting that such principles be acknowledged withing the walls of The Tower of the Navigator and long hours of nightly study can be negated by those who can read the patterns of the Archanical Orrey, a fitting reference at any time of day.
Crucial for measuring the intake of Archanical fuel required to power the Air ships over and around the mountainous landscapes surrounding Wollockshire, this device works in parallel with the Meteorological Disseminator to ensure a steady flight and safe return for all ships in the Warlocks fleet.
Being the simplest of all the apparatuses within the Compound, the mechanics of which require no direct feed of Archanical fuel, instead relying on the practiced hands of well-studied Warlocks to manually operate.
Within each Barrel-Rider barracks can be found the navigational instruments required to chart safe passage for the costly and precariously Archanically balanced air ships. The Meteorological Disseminator can predict relatively accurate weather conditions through the measurement of the moons relationship to the earth bound city of Wollockshire and is surrounding waters.
Like all the contraptions within the Archanical Compound, this devise is fed through a series of pipes connected to the Archanical Repository’s about the city, feeding it with an endless stream of the fuel required to keep it going day and night.
Parchmantic Sequesterry :
Having discerned the correct orientation and syllabic structure of the Arcane Spells revealed through the Transcribeographic Resonator, the appropriate containment of such records is paramount to the Warlocks at work within the Tower of the Navigator.
The Parchmantic Sequesterry helps to isolate individual spells from each other’s inherent concentrated Arcane energy’s while providing a constant venting system for such accumulations within the closed cabinet itself. Not for nothing are the steel girders wrapping the masonry of the buildings within the Arcanical compound, spell craft can yield incredibly explosive results, unlooked for or not, and such precautions are necessary for the ongoing work of the Warlocks.
Once the Dragon Bile has been refined into Archanical fuel its Arcane possibilities are limitless, though it remains highly combustible. In its processed state it can be used to elevate the airships of the warlock through the Barrel-tech he had perfected, but he had greater designs at play for its use. Combining components with Arcane properties was commonplace wizardry sure enough, but this Archanical fuel was no eye of newt or sprig of Wolfsbane, this was the real deal. As such its potency was incredibly volatile when miss matched in the wrong concoction, that’s where the Abacusdodian comes in to play.
This towering device is able to calculate the effects of any given substance in relationship to the Archanical fuel without having to directly mix said components. It may take days for the ivory runes to tick over into the right order once activated, but if read correctly one should be able to determine the appropriate balances required for a safely infused Arcane recipe.
Harnessing the Power of the Arcane originated in the spoken and written word, and though The Great Warlock has advanced the art to no end through his Archanical apparatuses, he has wisdom enough to continue pursuing its mysteries through these time-honored practices. The Transcribeographic Resonator is able to process the tone and meaning of the spoken word and display their Arcane potentials through the Archanical dial fastened atop the workstation. The cylinder of refined Archanical fuel that powers the contraption also feeds minute amounts of its contents into an inbuilt inkwell, allowing the Warlock manning the station to write down the newly discovered incantations while Archanically diffusing its tonal shaping’s onto the parchment in the ever-glowing emerald ink. Draws are provided for parchment and quills at the side of the desks structure.
Having processed the Dragon Bile into the Archanical fuel and correctly determining its compatibility with the desired component, a Warlock is ready to turn theory in to practice with the Transfuical Hybridizer. with separate chambers to load in each part, the central distillery feeds into a reinforced containment unit to best view and document its effects. When the Light is green the magics clean. Cylinders constructed to store the Arcane transfusion known as Arcanisters can be loaded and locked into place at the base of the Transfuical Hybridizer for extraction. These can be commonly seen throughout Wollockshire as they can be applied to conductor staffs to further the span of spell capacity as seen in the Draconic lamps that line the main throughfare.
