Hello everyone,
I’m completely new to 3D printing, so much so that I don’t even have a printer yet….but soon to order one. I love the models from here but I’m also on a strict budget and would love to know if there is a way to work out how much filament each model would need so I can correctly budget to make sure I have enough rolls for the print.
Thank you!

A house will be anywhere from 200 to 600 grams depending on the size of the walls and how much detail is in it. The much taller towers and ships usually 800 grams to 1.5kg for the bigger models. It depends on your slicer settings and you printer model as well.

most slic3rs will give you an estimate of material usage
you can use some of the free tiles on thingiverse to do estimates -

The largest print I have done was the sorcerers tower. The entire print took approximately 1.5kg of material.
