Merging Files

Hi there! Up until now I’ve mostly just used the files as-is. I have a thought that I’d like to have some smaller Scourge Flyers, however, to accompany the big one. I’m thinking sized just large enough for one ‘Large’ figure or four ‘Medium’ figures (2-inch base/1-inch base). Long story short, I’d like to merge some of the pieces of the Scourge Flyers so I can print it in just two pieces, a top and a bottom. I imagine I’ll need to merge all seven files into a single solid then split it where I want it. . Are there any guides on how to use MeshMixer/Blender/whatever to accomplish this? I’m completely new to this sort of kit-bashing/tweaking on 3D model files.
