Sorcerer’s Tower

$19.95

Any sales taxes will be calculated in the checkout.

The Sorcerer’s Tower is perfect as a centrepiece, for watching over Winterdale, or as a repository of dusty old scrolls for curious adventurers on the way to a dungeon. It is a fantasy-styled building that can be used for role-playing or tabletop war games.

Featuring hinged doors, removable roofs and multiple storeys, it prints without supports as separate levels. Also included in this pack is a small printer version. The lamps need to be printed with supports.

Description

High on the hill, the sturdy stone tower has stood watching over the town for as long as anyone can remember. Coloured smoke bursts from its chimney on occasion, and in the highest window, a shape can be seen darting about. The older townsfolk speak of wondrous magics that once spilled forth from the owner’s hands, but the younger ones say this is yet another local legend.

    This. Is. Gorgeous.

  2. timlaugh (verified owner)

Would it be possible to separate the balcony from the tower on SorcererTower-Lv4-v1.0 ? like what’s done with the observer tower .

i kept getting layer shift or extrusion gap while printing the balcony handle pillar along with the rest of the building . i’m printing at standard speed of 60mm/s .

    thank you

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

If your having difficulties it may be good to slow down your extrusion speed for the balcony if you’re having problems with your specific printer. On a Prusa I3 Mk3 this prints out of the box with the general settings.

  3. timlaugh (verified owner)

thanks , and what would be the recommended extrusion speed for the balcony ?

    • Matt Barker

It will entirely depend on the capabilities of your printer. Most printers will handle this at full speed. We printed this at standard settings on the Prusa i3 Mk3 without a problem.

GREAT MAKER, THIS STUFF IS AMAZING!!!

  5. Tecwyn (verified owner)

Could we please get a painting guide? Like what has been provided for some of the other DEAD models. Thank you.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We can have a look at doing a painting guide for this.

  6. gene (verified owner)

How do you recommend printing the lamps? The way they come into prusa they need major supports. I am going to try printing them in the position they fit on the wall.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Print the lamps at 0.1 and 100% infill with supports turned on. You can try printing them at 90° upright but will still need supports.

  7. jgoahl (verified owner)

For the Smaller Printer files, it doesn’t seem like there are any lvl3 files. Am I missing something?

    • Jo Boorer

We did not create a cut version of level 3 due to it being small enough to print on a small printer.

  8. James Demacek (verified owner)

Is it possible for you to post the color scheme for this? What colors were used for priming, base coat, and dry brushing?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

This was primed in black, The stone is Army Painter Dungeon Grey, Ash Grey and Arid Earth, the wood is Oak Brown and then Leather brown. Trim was Chaos red then Pure red. The roof tiles was heavy dry brush Dragon Red, dry brush GW Astorath Red.

Is there any add on to get all DEAD-Bonus Items on a single buy?

    thanks

    • Mike

When we ran the Shadowfey Kickstarter we had it available as an add-on item that you could purchase. Keep an eye out for our next Kickstarter coming up and you’ll be able to get it then.

  10. Brandon Poston (verified owner)

What do you use for the tubing insert for the doors? what diameter etc?

    • Mike (Printable Scenery)

If printed at the scale in the download the insert is designed to fit standard 1.75mm filament, which is what we use for the doors.

    Hi everyone,
I love this file, but like timlaugh above, I’m also struggling to print out the balcony. I’m going to try a real slow print (3 days) for the lvl 4 section. But I’m wondering if anyone has seen a fix for this? It’s just the railing banisters on that top balcony that keep failing.
I’m printing on an Ender 3 v2 Neo and this is the only file I’ve had a problem with so far.
Would it be possible to have just these bannisters as a file? I could just print them out separately.
    Thanks!

    • Jo Boorer

I will get one of our modelers onto this so that we can get you a separate banister and fix this issue on the original piece.
