Description

After a long, dusty trek through the dungeons, the sparkling pool looked like a welcome way to cleanse herself. It was so similar to the thermae at the castle that she didn’t see any reason to doubt its safety. Until she dipped a long brown toe into its rippling waters and pain raced up her leg. The water shuddered and turned into a gluggy green/black soup.

6 questions for Thermae

  1. eantrin

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I assume the colored pictures as using “realistic model water”? I ask since the printed previews seem to have flat bases without the texture needed to make the shifting water look. If that’s the case, would you use the fake water on the EL parts one by one or when they’re all bound in the shape you want?

    • Matt Barker

Yes, if you connect all the pieces together and seal them with a small amount of realistic water, then pour it to depth. Once you have done this you can use an exacto kike to cut them apart making reusable water tiles

  2. eantrin

Sorry to keep asking about this piece, but do you dye the realistic water itself to get the bright colors, or do you paint the inside walls of the pools and the water looks dyed?

  3. josh.briffett

Would it be possible to have the dropped levels in this pack but with the same texture as the centre of the sewer floors?

    • Sam Campbell

That’s something we can possibly look at. I’ll add it to our suggestion list.

  4. t.andersson

Any chance there will be a version of this for the newer rough stone floor texture?

    • Sam Campbell

Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll add it to our ideas for development.

  5. MJJEPPER (verified owner)

I have the same question as t.andersson. I am interested in the rough stone texture.

    • Sam Campbell

There are no Rough Stone Thermae at this stage, it’s something we can look at doing in the future.

  6. rwsorden (verified owner)

I also would like rough stone versions of these at some point, perhaps a KS add-on or stretch goal someday?

    • Nicholas Jebson

We can certainly look to do an update there at some point
