Description

Crafted long ago, by artisans whose names have been long forgotten, the dungeon’s walls feel as though they could spring into life at any time. The stones themselves could tell you epic tales of swinging swords and clattering bones. Or perhaps of hopelessly lost adventurers and hungry creatures that burst from the darkness.

24 questions for Rampage Heavy Walls

  1. Bryan Deemer (verified owner)

Hi there, I’m absolutely loving your Rampage system. It’s fantastic. I have a Monoprice Select Mini. It has a fairly small print bed. I can print every piece with the exception of “X”. Would it be possible to have it split it two pieces so I could print each half? Thanks very much.

    • Matthew Barker

The issue with the X tile being printed in two pieces is that it would need to be cut across the middle of the open lock clip. Wew are a new version of the X and V tiles that we are adding next month, which will sort this for you.

  2. Joseph (verified owner)

    Hey Matt,

I’ve noticed that there’s a piece out there that is the same as piece “J” in this set, but it has open locks on all sides. What set is that piece in?

    Thanks

  3. kbs.bulk

Hi- Are these going to be upgraded to the triplex versions? If so, I might wait to purchase until updates are done. Or can we download updates later, if any are made, without having to purchase them again?

    • Matt Barker

Yes, we will be working on all the existing range and upgrading them. The upgrades will be free

  4. John Ware (verified owner)

Hi, just wondering if there are columns that match this set (to clip into the two walls at a corner) or if I should use the ones from the castle set. Thanks.

    • Jo Boorer

You can get the matching columns for free in the Rampage Base Pack.

  5. indrayee (verified owner)

What kind of floor that can connect with X? I can’t seem to find it. I owned castle floor.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

The V floor connects to the X wall.

  6. xotigonx (verified owner)

Hello, is there a wall that connects to the OA floor tile (Rough Stone set) along the long edge? Or, are there multiple walls that are meant to piece together for it?

  7. xotigonx (verified owner)

Thanks Sam, I ended up stumbling into that last night lol. However, what I’m looking at is a large triangular area where the long edge of the OA floor tiles make a much longer edge. The 2 pieces you mention don’t allow longer runs like that. I think I’m just going to piece a bunch together and live with gaps along the wall

  8. fsalamone123

Are there no columns in this pack? Also ive been printing some items from the free base pack and sometimes the walls and columns print too short and the openlock clip slots are way to small. It could be me, but i didnt change anything and sometimes they print small. any suggestions?

    • Matt Barker

The Columns are in the Base Pack, the OpenLOCK ports are aligned with those Columns. All of the OpenLOCK ports align

  9. pat1 (verified owner)

What piece or pieces fit on top of VG-TRP-Heavy-Wall-v3.0 ? Thanks!

I love all of the products offered by Printable Scenery and I am so glad I found you guys just in time to back the current Kickstarter !

    • Matt Barker

At this stage, only another VG piece. What are you looking at making?

  10. Ridanis (verified owner)

    Gday all,

I’m getting crazy overhangs when printing these wall pieces without support. It looks like warms hiding between the wall bricks, and I have to clean them with an Xacto with every print. I can confirm that this happens on ALL the walls (Printed more than 40 pieces already, and had to clean all of them).

Could you confirm whether this is due to the design requiring an upgraded nozzle cooling, or are these any specific settings I need to look into in Cura.

Printer: Ender 3 Pro – Stock fan duct
    Slicer: Cura
Profile: Standard ‘Fine’ profile with 0.2 mm layer height

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We’ll be releasing an update for this in the very near future.

  11. Enrique Avalos (verified owner)

Now that the walls have less overhangs, they come out really smooth with less detail. I wish I could post a picture or maybe I’ll email one in during the day. I might be doing something wrong. I didn’t notice until my 4th printing of 14 walls. When I went to paint them they are so smooth as to look like something is wrong. Any advice?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

These have been updated to version which will need to be printed with supports.

  12. yan_426hemi_srt (verified owner)

Hi whats the difference bete-ween A wall and B wall aside minor visual difference ?

    • Nicholas Jebson

There is practically no difference, they are generally just mirrors of each other.

  13. icristian.hrimiuc (verified owner)

Hi guys! I imagine you are swamped with all that you have planned, but I am also experiencing the overhang issues that Ridanis described. So, I checked the model and it makes sense for them to look that way as there are islands that are printed over thin air. I tried using Cura’s setting called “Make Overhangs printable” to make the prints look better and decrease the post processing time. I had good results with this, with only a 70 degree angle correction the wall looks much better, but unfortunately the OpenLock holes have been corrected as well making it impossible to use the OpenLock clips any longer. There is no way to apply a different setting for these holes, so I guess I’m stuck with using supports. The correction made by Cura’s setting is quite insignificant, but the end result is drastically better. Is such a correction planned in an upcoming update? Have you managed to release the update mentioned above? How do you overcome this problem on your prints?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We’ve done some work on the overhangs and have a new A-Wall tested and will be going through and updating some of these sets soon.

  14. quark2

    Hello,

Which wall would connect to the diagonal side of an O base? I have a diagonal side of the room and am looking for what wall to use.

    Thanks

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

P Wall fits on the diagonal of an O Floor.

  15. mattdickey23 (verified owner)

    Hi!
Can we get a ZA-LP wall in this set, similar to what’s in The Manor Inn, to fit the short side of the YA-TRP floor tiles? Or is there another tile already here to suits the same purpose?
    Thanks!

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Thanks for the suggestion, we’ll add it to the possibly future revision.

  16. robot027 (verified owner)

    Hi,
I know you have actual wall sections included for references but do you ave something similar to the top view reference? Something similar to the one for rough stone floors (https://www.printablescenery.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Labell-corrected.jpg)?

Is there a guide to help show which wall size is ideal for what floor size? Not sure if this is possible since both are versatile.

    Thanks.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

The wall sizes are thin (1/2″) and usually layed out near the relevant matching floor size. e.g. A (Wall) fits E (Floor) similar to A(Floor), G (Wall) fits F (Floor) similar to G (Floor).

      https://www.printablescenery.com/product/open-lock/

  17. robot027 (verified owner)

Cool. Thanks! That reference is helpful especially when it comes to primary and secondary walls. Is there a primary as secondary for floors or did I miss that?

Also what is the different between A and B floor?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

There is no B floors, these were primarily a variant and most B-Walls have been discontinued because of the Triplex ports.

  18. johnwfree313 (verified owner)

Will you be updating this set to have “AS” “DS” etc to match up with the Clorehaven sets or are you sticking to the Midwall “S” only?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Yes we can have a look at updating these as well.

  19. Zachary Ruiz (verified owner)

Any chance of getting the legacy not TRP version available for download? I’ve found the clips for the TRP walls break very easily (not the floors though, oddly enough) and have had better success with the older connection ports.

    • Nicholas Jebson

We can add the legacy folder back into the ZIP though this will make the file much larger.

Hi there, I’ve purchased the Rampage Complete Dungeons a while ago but was a bit disappointed by the overall look of the prints and avoided printing any more of them up until now. I have actually posted a comment above describing one of my complaints. I’ve come back to these now, after printing a whole bunch of Clorehaven style walls(of which I am very satisfied) but am reluctant to start printing anything from the Rampage Dungeon style walls as I find their pattern repetitive and, well, ugly. I’ve been following the ArchitectsOfDestruction kickstarter for a while and noticed that in their presentation video the Rampage Dungeon Walls have been re-styled(and are quite appealing, I might add). Is there any plan to release that version to the public? Perhaps as a separate product or as a version upgrade for existing walls? I have to add, I am not talking about their current version of Rampage Dungeons Walls in which the wall is separated in three pieces, I am referring to the .stl files that were printed and used in their presentation video. I’m asking this because they seem to be ready to be released to the public, without extra modeling effort involved. Hope my question isn’t inappropriate or out of line. Thank you for everything, keep up the good work!

    • Nicholas Jebson

      Hey Christian
The rampage dungeon was one of our first-ever sets, so it is understandable that its detail has been surpassed by some of our more recent sets. Unfortunately, the Architects of Destruction design is their own IP, so not one we could sell in our online store. However, our friends at Terrain Tinker are keen to update some of the older rampage sets in the not-too-distant future, so there is a very good chance that the rampage dungeon would be the first to be updated.

  21. Doc Webb (verified owner)

Absolutely loving this set — it’s proved incredibly versatile and adaptable. Any update on when AS pieces might become available, though? They’re the only style of wall I really feel is missing. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by the Clorehaven sets. 🙂

Thanks for all of your hard work!

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

We will start getting these done but in the meantime, there is an option to do this on Terrain Tinker.

  22. Doc Webb (verified owner)

That’s fantastic news, thank you! I’ve been using Terrain Tinker for a while and had no idea it could do this — how do I convert A walls to AS?

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

This would require making the building and printing as combined parts.

  23. YendorsVTT (verified owner)

My first set, looking forward to the first TDE round with it next week. One thing: Might it be possible to get T-columns?

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

It would not be possible to have an OpenLOCK clip in all ports on a T design.
To have a column join to 3 walls in a T section, you can create it in Terrain Tinker and then print it.

  24. westenskow (verified owner)

Is it possible to have a variant of these walls with the stacking pins on top? Stacking levels is one of my favorite things with the other sets. I saw that the VG wall has these but none of the others.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

      Thanks for your suggestion.
I will add this to our model update list.
Have you checked out Terrain Tinker where you can create this option and then print.
