10 questions for Library of Ithillia

  1. elmortero (verified owner)

There are inset squares that look like pegs could go in them on the underside of the 2nd floor pieces. Is there something that is supposed to glue in to potentially make it easier for the 2nd floor section to fit?

    • Matt Barker

The pins on the top of the first floor align with the holes on the bottom of the second floor. They keep the roof from sliding off.

  2. Dave Tuite (verified owner)

Is there going to be a painting guide added soon?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We’ll see if we can get a painting guide up soon for this.

  3. Patrick Fraley (verified owner)

any advice on getting the supports off the railing on the second level?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

This is being worked on soon.

  4. Patrick Fraley (verified owner)

I have completed the printing but I have noticed that the bottom level doesn’t include the doors as does the one piece print includes. Is there a separate file for the doors?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Yes, it is in the zip and it is called “Ithillian-Library-Doors-v1.0”. You can re-download the product if it’s missing.

  5. Voodoo (verified owner)

On the Second floor of the library the whole top quarter inch of the structure shifted forward and rotated a quarter inch like the lid of a jar. I was just wondering if anyone has experienced anything like this?
I have a Prusa MK3s that is dialed in. I didn’t have any failures before or after and I have been printing taller structures. (the library, tower aerternus, sorcer’s tower etc). I can send pictures if you would like.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

send to [email protected] and we will have a look at them.

Edit to my October 3rd post. Without any readjustments to my printer I reprinted the second floor of the library, no supports, 20% infill, 0.2 and it came out perfect. I will send pictures regardless. Really not sure how that happened with the first print.

  7. Fabrizio Guzman (verified owner)

Hi, can you confirm what files need supports?

    thanks
    Fabrizio

    • Mike

      Hi Fabrizio,

There are a few small curls on the top of the second level that some customers have suggested adding small supports to.
Ours was printed without supports but if in doubt, add them on.
      Thanks 🙂

Curious as to where Ithilia is? i.e. Is it a published campaign setting? Or is it just a nod to Ithilien, a region of Middle-Earth?

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Ithilia is part of a world that Matt Barker and Johnny Fraser-Allen are currently working on.

  9. Jeremy (verified owner)

BTW – just an FYI, not sure the spelling, but it’s spelled differently on this page compared to the “Lost Library of Ithilia”, i.e. you’ve got a double-L on this spelling.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

Thanks for pointing out this out I will make the corrections.
