10 questions for Ironhelm Fortress

  1. Eric

Hello, i got a smaller printer and wonder if it will be possible to print it on a 120 x 120 x 120mm printer? Or if it is possible for you to update it to fit a smaller printer.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

There is a small printer version that will fit 120 x 120 x 120mm printer, it’s in the small printer folder in the zip when you download the product.

  2. oniakki (verified owner)

Could a version of the first level possibly be provided that’s not cut into two parts? I tried just putting them together in a modelling program, but the parts are actually missing a tiny sliver of model so they don’t join up nicely and leave a seam.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

      Yes we will release that.

  3. Tecwyn (verified owner)

Hi, I printed the second level as one piece and I have noticed that one wall is smooth, with no brick work details. You can also see this in both the files (as one bit and smaller printer models). Can you please check if the model is meant to have this one area where the wall is perfectly smooth? It is the section with the raised platform inside, with the closed window.

If this is a mistake, can you please create a printable section to admen this, so people can attach a section to cover up the wall. I can provide a picture highlighting this area if required. Thank you.

      We will get this updated.

  4. Charpin Francis (verified owner)

    Hello,
Is it possible to do a two parts version of the stairs ? It’s a bit big for a 120*120 printer.
    Thank you !

  5. Charpin Francis (verified owner)

    I was talking of “IronhelmFortress-Lv1-Staircase-1-v1.2.stl”. ;o)

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

It has been updated with cut stairs now.

Ironhelm Fortress – Full level will not print on my Ender 3. Says file is to big, it looks like it just barely fits in Cura but will not slice. What size printer is needed to print Full level?

    • Matt Barker

It fits on the Prusa i3 Mk3. You could scale the whole thing down just slightly to fit the Ender 3

    Timelapse video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0RagfVLpBQ

Suggestion: Make the bottom of the model more hollow so it does not take to much filament.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Awesome timelapse print. We’ll add the suggestion for putting a cavity underneath into our develpment ideas. Thanks!

  8. alex4 (verified owner)

This is one of these most charismatic pieces.
Could you tell me me what size rod do I need for the door hinges please?

    Thanks,
    Alex

    • Mike

      Thanks Alex!
If you’re printing it at 100% scale then standard 1.75mm filament will work as the rods for the door hinges. Anything else of that same thickness will work too 🙂

  9. Richard O’Keeffe

Does this incliude a ‘solid’ version as I got with my Winterdale pack? Thanks!

    • Mike (Printable Scenery)

There is a complete, combined version of the bottom half of the fortress, it still has interior detail though
