Description

Private Mac Sorkemski Designation X9356201 reloaded.

The alarm klaxons blared in consternating rhythm. Lights strobed across his visor as he raised his laser rifle.

Jeez it was hard to see through the smoke.

Someone screamed toward his left. Private Summers.

Gone.

He pulled his laser rifle sharply and unloaded 4 short small bursts. A bestial alien voice answered in anguish and pain. Mac started to laugh.

12 questions for Gothic Spaceship Bundle (30mm tiles)

I am seriously considering picking up this set. I have the original Space Hulk game with both expansions. The expansions have additional rooms and corridors. White Dwarf magazine also campaigns and missions with additional pages you could cut out and glue to cardboard to be able to play them. I would love to be able to play those additional campaigns.

I’m sure you get a lot of requests for add on items to a lot of your products but would you be interested in expanding this range of products to include those additional tiles. I would be happy to provide you with layouts if you are.

    Thank you,
    Scott Trandem

We are looking at improving the range in this set as it’s proved quite popular.

Printed off about a meter of this so far. Any tips for painting. The layer lines seem quite prominent

I am using your recommended setting on an anycubic i3 mega

    • Sam Campbell

You can do 3 things to mitigate against print striations layer lines.
      1. Adjust your Z-level and your print resolution.
      2. Brushing the model with Chloroform/Acetone before priming.
      3. Priming the model 2 to 3 times will help fill in and mask the layer lines.

I am the happy owner of the cothic spaceship bundle – whick prints excellently. I’ve just finished a make of the 1. edition tiles for Space Hulk. Now I want to be able to build the expansions (including larger rooms). Now I’m facing the problem that some your tiles are 30x30mm and others 25x25mm. How do I convert and still keep the functionalty of the openlock clip? Is it possible to release a 30mm compatible version of the sci-fi floors and walls? Also please add bulkheads 🙂

    • Sam Campbell

We have another expansion to address all these things plus more for the Gothic spaceship set.

  4. robertstaun (verified owner)

Which expansion would that be? Is it in delevopment or am I missing something here? I can’t seem to find it.

    • Sam Campbell

      This expansion is in development.

Do the Gothic Room/Hallway sets have a 40mm version? Terminators don’t fit in the 30mm rooms/hallways. I can build 40mm rooms with the floors/wall kits but it would be great to print off rooms/hallways in one piece.

    • Sam Campbell

If you need to go to 40mm grid size you can scale up by the X and Y-Axis by 33% on the build plate.

  6. ian.pagan10

if i print to 40mm will the loc clips need to be increased as well

    • Nicholas Jebson

Yes they would do Ian, as the locking ports will have been stretched.

  7. Thomas Garrison (verified owner)

Thanks for the quick response on that infill answer. I did notice that the latest edition does have a room that’s 4×3. It’s not used much, but can you think of a way to make that one with maybe other STL’s you sell? Or is there any sort of update on this package on the way?

    • Nicholas Jebson

The spaceship bundle is not scheduled for an update, though I was not aware that a new room was added in the latest edition. We can look into it.

  8. Thomas Garrison (verified owner)

Ok well thanks Nicholas. I could send a pic or something if you want. my copy of the game is from 2009

  9. Thomas Garrison (verified owner)

Just as a follow up on some comments, i’ve picked 120% uniform scaled to give my fingers a little extra room to move guys around. I didn’t like the stretched look of the monitors and skulls just doing X and Y scaling. Personal choice here, i didn’t feel 133% was necessary either. 120 is the compromised enlargement that’s going to work for me. 10% infill is plenty also it seems like as I’ve printed three pieces that way with no structural issues.

    • Nicholas Jebson

yes, 10% is our general go-to these days while 20 was what we recommended in the past

  10. Alberto Lagi (verified owner)

I remixed your kits to make the new floor tiles of Space Hulk missing from your set. It’s not a perfect job because I didn’t kept the open locks holes perfect, but latest edition of space hulk has:
    – A crossroad with entrance corridors offset by 1 (a 2×2 room with 4 entrances, one for each side)
    – a turbolift room (a 3 x 2 closed room, with one entrance in the middle on the 3 wide row)
    – a damaged control room (a closed room with width 5, one entrance in the middle of it and a variable length between 3 and 5 for each row)

  11. leon101noel

Hi, this looks amazing. I have just managed to get hold of a 2014 4th Edition of space hulk. Is this set currently compatible to print all the available missions in the book?

    • Mike (Printable Scenery)

      Hi Leon,

You should be able to make just about all of the missions from Space Hulk with this set

  12. SirDeeSee

I’ve just stumbled across this and am really excited to give it a go! Possibly stupid question but do these need supports? They broadly look like they’d print without, but better safe than sorry!

Also definitely will be upscaling to fit 40mm bases so pray for me and my horrendously expanded print times.

    • Jo Boorer (verified owner)

At their current size, they print fine with no support.
