10 questions for Demon Cathedral Bundle

  1. Henninghofmeister (verified owner)

Hi. Can we get some building plans or a list of how many parts we will need to build the Demon Cathedral? 🙂

    • Jo Boorer

I have just uploaded basic Demon Cathedral pics with parts and amounts on them to the Demon Cathedral Bundle page.
Another option is look at the pic in the galley of the Cathedral Walls
      https://www.printablescenery.com/product/cathedral-walls/
and use that main layout idea but without the G windows area and replace TB columns with L columns.

  2. Henninghofmeister (verified owner)

Thanks for the pics. But a miss the floor files in the bundle.

    • Sam Campbell

There are no floors included in this bundle. The beauty about OpenLOCK is that you can use any type of floor, for example the Castel Floors or the scifi floors Gothic Sci-fi floors.

Most of your stuff is printed without supports but I can not see a way to print the Rosetta window without them any hints or tips

    • Sam Campbell

The Rosetta Window is designed to print vertically. Almost all of our products print without supports.. Because the Rosetta window is such a centre piece, try printing at a higher resolution.

Do you guys have a stair option for the cathedral? The only stairs I have seen on your site are the stone style like the dwarven ones. A circular style with rail would be an awesome addition to this style of building.

    • Nicholas Jebson

Hey there Kirotoson. Thank you for your input. It is something we have had in the ideas pool for a while now just waiting for a good time to fit it in. You may find it is coming in the not so distant future…

  5. Mgus (verified owner)

There is a design flaw to the third/roof section, I think. the 3 D floor and that whole side is not hold into place by anything. Or I’am I missing something? I have printed all the parts but I can’t wrap my head around it. Can you explain how that far side is sticking with the rest?

    • Nicholas Jebson

Hey Mgus, the D tiles have OpenLOCK ports on just the one side, if you open it in a 3D viewer and spin them around you should see them on the far side. I will however add them to the updates as they have plenty of room to get alternating ports added in like the AS tiles.

  6. Mgus (verified owner)

I kmow that the D tiles only have ports on one side, that is kind of the problem because nothing is holding the whole side as the columns don’t have any ports against that wall either.
So what is holding that wall on place? Not the D floor and not the columns?

  7. Mgus (verified owner)

I posted this question on the OpenLock forum now so I could attach a picture.

    • Nicholas Jebson

Ahh no I’m seeing it now, I am fast tracking the D and Q floors to get updated as you are right there is no physical way to anchor those sections shown with OpenLOCK pins. Thankyou for bringing this to our attention.

  8. Estigmax (verified owner)

I buy this yesterday but I see they don’t have circle walls like the cathedral, It would be nice to have those options too please

    • Nicholas Jebson

A good idea. We will add it to our pending updates and see what we can do.

  9. Estigmax (verified owner)

hi me again, I want to make an octagonal church second level, and towers too can you make a corner window wall for that? if you can thanks

    • Nicholas Jebson

We will add it to the original update ticket, see if we can get them done in one fell swoop.

  10. lordtom (verified owner)

i bough this bundle but what do i have to use to mont the floor? do i need some pins connection?

    • Mike

      Hi Lordtom,

You’ll need to print yourself some OpenLOCK clips to connect the floor pieces together. Generally 1 clip per join is enough, and they’re small enough you can print a lot of them at once.
The latest version of the clip is available for free from here

      Hope that helps!
