14 questions for Clorehaven Library Expansion

  1. Nikolaj_Uhrenholt (verified owner)

Are you serious about support: “Requires support on all files”?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

      It’s now been updated.

  2. christopherlnance (verified owner)

The instructions for the Library for lvl 2 #3 Product Clorehaven Library Expansion/File Name F-SpiralStair-RusticWoodandStone-Railing-v1.0, This file does not exist. There is a SpiralStair but it does not have the railing. Was this a typo in the PDF or is there a file missing? Thanks.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

This will be updated shortly and you will be able to re-download the files.

  3. insanejigsaw (verified owner)

For adding on second levels, is there a way to lock them on or do they just sit there, trying to find a way to avoid gluing down tall buildings

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We’re releasing variants with top locking pins soon.

  4. izak.s.kruger

The rounded roof tiles, are there any roof packs available that contain them, and not the square roof tiles (as per the slate or Clorehaven Roof sets)?

  5. Shaun Kantor (verified owner)

Is there a trick to printing the secret door? I have upped the infill to 30 % and it still snaps when I try and slide the parts together. Do I need to print it solid?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

It may be cracking along the print striation line. You may need to file and sand to make sure you get a neat comfortable fit before attempting to join the pieces.

  6. Christopher.Loddo88 (verified owner)

one the Library Tudor Balcony Entrance how do you clip in the 2 floor sections on the 3rd level? it being 180 degrees of the turret I can’t clip in both, I just glued mine as they aren’t ever gonna be used separate but the clips don’t work well there.

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

Hey Christopher. It can hold with one clip near the door and then anchored to other floor sections that are anchored into the walls, but you are right that it is an awkward one to set. Sometimes gluing in your preferred floor is the best call to get a strong hold.

  7. beleskye (verified owner)

Are there any plans to use the footprint of the “LIbrary Tutor Balcony Entrance” on other sets? I could really use one (minus balconies) to build a tower on the top of my castle.

I guess what I am asking for is a S wall that is curved.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

We’re looking at developing an outside floor to fit around the G wall.

  8. CristianSCooney (verified owner)

Any update on the 11/14/19 “We’re releasing variants with top locking pins soon”? The pins for the Chapel are great. Specifically need the pins and slot for the half roof.

    Thanks.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Thanks, we are set to upgrade this soon.

  9. mhj77 (verified owner)

When changing the assembly guide – please don’t forget those clipclaps 🙂

  10. tamarack928 (verified owner)

cannot print these secret walls. They break every single time no matter what I do. I’ve increased infill, I’ve sanded, I’ve printed with different filaments, I have 8 broken bookshelves sitting here. What’s the secret?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Can you please email [email protected] and attach some photos of the failed prints.

  11. GlitchTech Science (verified owner)

When slicing/printing “A-Tudor-Balcony-Door-v1.0” I noticed that the top of the door is split slightly. It doesn’t cause any issues when finished, just makes the printer do some extra movement printing two perimeters instead of one.

  12. icristian.hrimiuc (verified owner)

The “F-SpiralStair-RusticWoodandStone-Railing-v1.0” and “F-SpiralStair-RusticWoodandStone-v1.0” are slightly taller that the standard 50.8 mm height of the walls. I fixed this by scaling them down a bit so that they are the same height, but an update should be made to the models in this pack as well, so that other do not encounter the same issue.

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

Thanks for that, we’ll get this updated.

  13. ernesto.pini16 (verified owner)

I think the balcony door should be mirrored, mine doesnt close properly

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

It is very easy to mirror an STL file, you can find out how to do it here: mirroring your models

  14. Shaun Kantor (verified owner)

Is there any chance of a Secret Bookcase Wall with a Tudor backing, or even just a plain Tudor Secret Wall at some point?

    • Nicholas Jebson (verified owner)

We can certainly look to add those in at some point, We will add them to the updates list
