9 questions for Winterdale Gatehouse

    Hello Matt,
I just tried printing this and it seems that the upper part (the “walkway”) is missing. Is this supposed to be from another object?

    • Matthew Barker

The walkways were part of the wall system, I have now added the Winterdale crenulation walkways to the file pack, please redownload.

    Hi Matt,

Really cool model, love the size, even large monsters will fit underneath the gate.
One thing, would it be possible to include „end pieces“ for the walkway? Right now we always have to put a tower on each side of of the gate as the open walkways would look silly 😀 Was this the intended use?
The Winterdale 2 version has walkways that are closed on all four sides but I think having a small piece of the same structure as the rest of the walkways walls that fits into the open space left and right would be perfect so you can decide for whatever setup you want 🙂

Has anyone else noticed that the Gatehouse doesnt match the curved or straight citadel wall sections in height?

Tower sections without (either the small or large) tower base match the gatehouse. But when you add the small tower base (so the tower then matches the curved or straight walls) it is then too high for the gatehouse.

Currently the only option I can see printing wise is to scale down the height of the curved/straight wall base sections to match the gatehouse.

Has no one else noticed this?

(NB I’m building a “Winterdale table” for Mordheim and hence using all the Citadel sections as part of that)

Jo was updating this file. did you get the latest updates?

  4. dave.campbell (verified owner)

Hi! The product page has two images that show this as a solid, one piece print, but they aren’t one in the download file. The download reference PNG doesn’t show them either, Are they available?

    • Sam Campbell

The fully assembled pictures are renders of the model fully assembled, the product is cut to make it easier to print.

  5. Austin Vawter

Hello! I was wondering if this gatehouse would be a close enough size to work alongside Port Winterdale Bastion And Ramparts as that set does not have a gate.

    • Sam Campbell

Yes, Some people have already used the gatehouse alongside the Port Winterdale Ramparts.

  6. Eric Welsh (verified owner)

I have been printing quite a bit of the Winterdale Citadel walls, and I was wondering if there is any set that includes stairs or some sort of connector that would go between this gate and the Citadel Walls. Having printed both the gate and the walls, they are about 2.25 inches different in height, and placing them next to each other without a tower looks odd (and hinders playability for systems with poor climbing rules). If there isnt a piece, I can rig something up using some dungeon tile stairs, but figured I would ask before I go mad scientist on it.

    • Sam Campbell

There isn’t a piece…yet, but we will look at including it in the future.

  7. Tony Beale (verified owner)

I’ve printed the gatehouse with the “gates” but the studs of the gate barding cause the internal hinge mechanism to not be able to fit. The stud underneath the top hinge on the door needs to be removed of interferes with the socket part of the wall hinge mechanism

Easily chopped off in mesh-mixer but may be worth updating the model too

    • Nicholas Jebson

      will look into it

  8. Gabriel Garner (verified owner)

    Hi there,

I’m not seeing the spiked battlement STL in this filepack. I did also download the walls that has one there. Are they the same file?

    Thanks.

    • Mike (verified owner)

      Hi Gabriel,

Would you mind re-downloading the file pack from our site? I just downloaded it to check if the file was missing and it was there, maybe you’ve got an older version?

  9. Gabriel Garner (verified owner)

Weird. I just re-unzipped the filepack I downloaded and now it’s there. Must’ve been some weird issue on my side. Thanks for getting back to me.
