The Ancient Ruins set is designed to be used as scatter dungeon terrain for fantasy tabletop and role-playing games. It includes scatter terrain pieces that feature cavern floors of various sizes.  This pack is part of the Goblin Grotto Cavern tile system.

The walls are versatile pieces that can be used in a variety of ways for different gaming styles. They can be used to create quick cavern crawls or outdoor wilderness encounters. They can be combined with negative spaces that can be filled with printed pictures or patterned table mats to give extra depth to an environment.

This product is part of the Goblin Grotto Add-On. Please log in if you backed the campaign.

This product is delivered as a .ZIP file pack containing STL files for use on a home 3D Printer. The files are set to 28mm scale but can be rescaled before printing.

Any chance that E could be broken into pieces that would fit on an Ender 3?

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

The E does fit on the Ender 3 as it was test printed on it, you may need to turn off a brim if you are using one.

  2. aaronsjunk (verified owner)

FYI – the normally included image file isn’t in the download. (I know it’s her, but having it be part of the zip files is very handy!)

    • Sam Campbell (verified owner)

      Thanks, we’ll update the file.

  3. nukem999

will these fit on the new prusa mini as well?
will have 17x17x17 as a printable
    volume

    • Nicholas Jebson

Hey Nukem, I have just had a look on the Prussa Slicer and it likes all of them except for E and F, which are just a little big. They would have to be scaled down to around 84-85% to make them fit for that build volume.

So I printed out B I believe and it seems like my top few layers shifted before the column got shifted and off set. I’m using the prusa slicer and I am printing on a prusa mk3. I’m wondering what happened becasue it seemed like the print didnt move at all from the heatbead.

You may have got a small clog or the print head can have knocked your print. If you can send an email to [email protected] and we can have a look at any photos you have of your print

You all are doing fantastic work!! Love the scenery. Is there anyway to request a cut, or split, to a model in this set so that it will fit on a/my small-ish print bed? I have a round 200mm bed, and some just don’t fit… OR is there a way I can do it that won’t displease the Scenery Gods?

    • Nicholas Jebson

I quite often use Meshmixer at home when I’m looking to do a quick cut or merger between some of our products. We can add it to the updates in the mean time.

I love how the prints come out! Looks awesome, I would love to see more terrain of this ancient style!

  7. johnny

Are these designed to fit neatly on top of either the Grotto Raised Caverns or the Modular Hills?

    • Matt Barker

These are stand-alone ruins. They are in the same style as the Goblin Grotto tiles and caves but they do not stack on top
